Job Title: Building IoT and Data Engineering Specialist

The Building IoT and Data Engineering Specialist plays a critical role in creating value from the significant amounts of data our buildings produce, and delivering on the value proposition that optimizing the use of our data lowers our costs and increases our financial returns.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deploy technology in the built environment, including IoT sensors, building systems, connectivity platforms, and data management/analytics tools.
  2. Communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders, as well as manage external parties and vendors.
  3. Manage data projects, including the deployment of IoT infrastructure, and project manage the implementation of data-driven solutions.
  4. Develop and maintain technical standards and playbooks for IoT technologies, including occupancy sensors, IEQ sensors, mobile access control, and other systems.
  5. Support the Digital, Property, and National Programs teams with the implementation, adoption, and operation modeling of new technologies being rolled out to buildings at scale across all asset classes.
Requirements:
  • Minimum undergraduate degree in a relevant technical field.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience with wireless IoT technologies.
  • 5+ years of analytical experience (SQL, Python, or similar).
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical thinking skills and tools.
