Senior Application Development Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technology group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing application solutions to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality application code using React and FastAPI
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design solutions
  • Conduct unit testing and technical fixes to ensure application stability
  • Develop and deploy proof of concepts and prototypes to evaluate opportunities
  • Support the change and release management process, including defining release strategy and task planning
  • Provide tier two and three application support, including on-call support as required
  • Identify potential solution risks and escalate to relevant stakeholders to ensure mitigation strategies are developed

Requirements:

  • Minimum five years' progressive experience in medium to large technology environments
  • Minimum three years' experience in solution development and/or delivery
  • Post-secondary degree in an information system or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Primary knowledge of React Web Development, Python - Fast API Framework, SQLAlchemy or other Object Related Mapper, GITHUB Source Code Management, CI/CD - Octopus Deploy, and Agile Development Practices
  • Secondary knowledge of System and Technology Integration, Middleware Software Approaches, User Interface Design, and Cloud Computing
