Position Overview

As a Lead Retirement Solutions Consultant, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our clients. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing the financial well-being of plan members while ensuring compliance and quality in our service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee client service delivery, ensuring that all specific needs are met with high-quality work.
  • Facilitate governance meetings to maintain compliance and uphold service standards.
  • Collaborate with clients to address pension administration issues effectively.
  • Prepare and produce annual pension statements and legislative updates.
  • Review complex calculations, including marriage breakdowns and pension loss assessments.
  • Conduct technical analyses related to changes in plan provisions.
  • Work closely with actuaries to ensure accurate membership data for valuations.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Manage and participate in special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Defined Benefit Pension Administration.
  • Post-secondary education in Mathematics or related fields.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale projects.

Skills and Attributes

  • In-depth knowledge of provincial pension and tax regulations.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation with strong professional judgment.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities and team-building skills.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of working independently.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in office software, particularly MS Word, Excel, and Access.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASA designation or a background in DB pension actuarial science.
  • Completion of courses in Pension Administration.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
  • Experience with pension administration software, particularly Ariel.
