About the Role

Moonstar Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team. As a Construction Laborer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by loading, unloading, and transporting materials.
  • Formwork and Scaffolding: Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Material Handling: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt under the guidance of experienced personnel.
  • Support Services: Assist medical examiners, help with framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, and level earth to fine grade specifications.
  • Waste Management: Clean and pile salvaged materials, clean up chemical spills, and remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Site Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to basic security clearance protocols and following established safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a willingness to learn and train is essential.
  • Work Environment: Be prepared to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks and handling of heavy loads.
  • Physical Capabilities: Be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a variety of settings.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate flexibility, reliability, and a team player attitude.
Working Conditions
  • Work Term: This is a permanent position.
  • Work Language: English is the primary language used in the workplace.
  • Hours of Work: 30 hours per week.
