About the Role

The Digital Product Visionary will drive the product vision and strategy, own end-to-end decisions and outcomes, and lead a cross-functional squad to craft and build new digital customer journeys – starting with buy online.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set ambitious, clear product vision; communicate it effectively to key partners and product team
  • Guide and contribute to the end-to-end team output from inception to production
  • Collaborate with collaborators to ensure buy online digital vision aligns with Aviva digital direct strategy and requirements
  • Responsible for product critical metrics, squad objectives and key results, and regular tracking/communication to collaborators
  • Lead the Buy Journey Squad; own, maintain the backlog and prioritize the day-to-day work of the squad based on targets and important metrics
  • Align with other POs to ensure interfaces to other Products and common critical metrics/objectives and key results are maintained
  • Understand the financial impact of team and Product related decisions
  • Apply user research and market data to translate user needs into user stories & acceptance criteria
  • Define, implement, and track performance measurements once solutions enter production
  • Work closely with design to integrate usability studies, A/B testing and research into product requirements to improve user satisfaction and ensure customer focused design

Requirements

  • Experience mapping and defining customer journeys
  • Solid knowledge of trends in P&C insurance and Home & auto insurance products and user demands/struggles, able to build a high-value product vision
  • Familiarity with tech systems / IT, able to engage in discussion with each tech team to understand risks
  • 5+ years of strong experience owning and delivering digital products; 3+ years experience leading teams
  • Solid business understanding and expert knowledge of high-quality digital product delivery
  • Deep familiarity with Agile principles from experience as a Product Owner or a similar position
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Technology, or similar
  • Strong communication & leadership skills, with comfort speaking with business partners and influencing others
  • Ability to lead, prioritize work, and inspire a cross-functional development team to achieve the joint mission
  • Ability to navigate the organization at a senior level and make decisions for the team
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to drive a solution and monitor its progress
  • Ability to build end-to-end product strategy; define scope, roadmap, and important metrics; and understand product development from conceptualization to release
  • Ability to integrate qualitative & quantitative research, product analysis, and customer insights into product requirements
  • Ability to own and articulate end-to-end product requirements across team
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and understand customer/business needs, including impact on the product backlog
  • Ability to clearly express the connections between larger business goals & specific backlog items for the team
  • Ability to influence decision-makers and manage stakeholders to achieve the Product mission
