Education Assistant Level 1 - Bilingual French

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Education Assistant Level 1 to join our team at School District #22 (Vernon). The successful candidate will provide support to students and teachers in a bilingual French environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with learning activities and provide individualized support as needed
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents in French and English
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students and staff
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of educational programs
  • Perform administrative tasks as required

Requirements:

  • 6 months of relevant training or experience in education assistance
  • Recent Okanagan College Education Assistant certificate or equivalent education
  • Familiarity with current special education technology
  • Proven ability to learn and use new technology
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bilingual - fluency in French and English

Working Conditions:

This is a 10-month position with 27.5 hours per week. The schedule is dependent on student needs.
