Job Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will undertake various technical tasks within the Pathology Laboratory, which include but are not limited to:

  • Embedding
  • Microtomy
  • Routine and special staining

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology program
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario
  • Experience in Hospital Grossing and/or recent IHC is an asset
  • Demonstrated understanding of quality assurance and good laboratory practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with excellent organizational skills
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Solid understanding of microanatomy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
  • Preference for candidates with recent histology experience
  • Consistent attendance and performance record is essential
