Electrical Integration Engineer for Electric Vehicles

We are seeking an Electrical Integration Engineer to be part of our power unit integration team focused on electric vehicles. Your primary role will involve the development and design of high-voltage powertrain components, ensuring their seamless integration into various vehicle models. If you possess expertise in power electronics design, power converters, insulation, thermal management, electromagnetic compatibility, electric vehicle charging technologies, battery management systems, and battery technologies, this opportunity is tailored for you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure adherence to technical specifications and serve as the principal technical liaison for suppliers;
- Establish priorities for technicians and the electrical validation team during the validation and commissioning stages, identifying necessary tests for vehicle-level physical assessments;
- Oversee the assembly process and sequence, while identifying potential risks and solutions related to charger installation on vehicles;
- Define technical requirements for components, validation plans, and technical maturity reports;
- Engage in internal Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) analyses for both components and vehicle assembly;
- Coordinate project tracking and technical follow-ups with suppliers;
- Lead internal commissioning processes and component validation;
- Contribute to the development of the overall team portfolio through innovative ideas and patent submissions.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- You are detail-oriented and organized, with a strong sense of innovation and awareness of electric vehicles;
- You thrive in dynamic project environments with changing objectives;
- You hold a bachelor's degree in electrical or electronic engineering, or possess exceptional skills in relevant fields;
- You have experience with electrical simulation tools, 3D electromagnetic simulations, and electrical design software such as See Electrical and Capital Harness;
- You bring 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in power electronics design, electrical simulation, and/or EMC design; familiarity with J and IEC standards is advantageous;
- You have a solid understanding of CAN communication protocols and electric vehicle supply equipment communications;
- You possess a strong interest in designing and driving recreational and high-performance vehicles.
