Position Summary:

As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be integral to enhancing the customer experience by performing diagnostic procedures to assess vehicle maintenance needs and providing precise repair recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks as outlined, ensuring efficiency and adherence to dealership and OEM standards
  • Regularly communicating with Parts and Service Advisors to manage production, repairs, and customer interactions
  • Performing multi-point inspections to recommend necessary repairs, ensuring vehicle safety and reliability
  • Documenting all work performed on the vehicle repair order in accordance with OEM standards
  • Maintaining an inventory of essential automotive tools
  • Staying updated on factory technical bulletins and participating in required training
  • Delivering an exceptional repair experience to foster customer loyalty and drive departmental revenue

Qualifications:

  • Provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate, completed or in progress
  • Red Seal Certification is a plus
  • Completion of a relevant post-secondary program or training courses
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in operating electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • High integrity and strong work ethic
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
