Shift Lead Role Summary

Combine Cafe & Bar is seeking a skilled Shift Lead to join our team. As a Shift Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the Front of House operations, including training, inventory, scheduling, and supervision of all Front of House staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure exceptional service levels are maintained during service hours.
  • Conduct regular equipment checks to ensure safe working order and report any faults to management.
  • Address guest concerns and compliments by praising staff and resolving complaints in a timely manner.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Support the management team with shift management and other duties as required.
  • Assist with running food and performing table-side service during busy periods to support the serving team.
  • Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager, Cafe Manager, or Assistant Manager on all aspects of restaurant operations.
  • Perform monthly inventory and ensure adherence to food safety regulations, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
  • Forecast labor needs and schedule staff accordingly to meet business demands.
  • Ensure FOH labor costs are aligned with budget targets.
  • Follow proper closing procedures and maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire plans and WHMIS training.
  • Comply with WCB rules and regulations and stay informed about relevant laws and statutes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma
  • Minimum five years of supervisory experience in a full-service restaurant and bar
  • Eligibility to work in Canada
