Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technologist to join our team at Cats Only Animal Hospital in Vancouver, BC. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our clients and their pets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including physical examinations, patient assessment, and anesthesia monitoring.
  • Prepare and maintain patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and test results.
  • Provide compassionate care to hospitalized patients and their owners, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing emotional support.
  • Assist with surgical procedures, including preparing patients, maintaining asepsis, and monitoring anesthesia.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication administration, wound care, and physical therapy.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary techniques and technologies.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Veterinary Technologist or Animal Health Technologist program.
  • Current certification as a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) or Animal Health Technologist (AHT).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
