Job Title: Director - Full Time / À Temps Plein

At Wawanesa Insurance, we're seeking a highly skilled Director to lead our Claims Analytics team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for building and developing a team of Claims Advanced Analytics experts.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a strong understanding of actuarial processes and reserving techniques. You will work closely with regional and executive stakeholders to stay informed on issues affecting both Claims and Enterprise Actuarial Services teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough statistical analysis of claims data
  • Develop and maintain claims reports and dashboards
  • Serve as a liaison between Enterprise Actuarial Services teams and Claims departments
  • Lead quantification of the impacts of regulatory reforms
  • Lead a team of Claims Operational Insights specialists
  • Leverage data and metrics to support our ability to deliver industry best outcomes
Requirements
  • Experience in an advanced analytics leadership role with a claims focus
  • Strong understanding of actuarial processes and reserving techniques
  • Undergraduate university degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • CIP or equivalent Property and Casualty industry designation considered an asset
