The Cap-Acp Laboratory Medicine Program is in search of an Anatomical Pathologist specializing in Lung and Thoracic Pathology. Candidates with additional expertise in Cardiac Pathology will be considered favorably. The successful applicant will be appointed at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong track record in clinical practice, research, and educational endeavors within the field of lung and thoracic pathology.
Joining a team of dedicated subspecialty pathologists, the successful candidate will contribute to a prominent academic laboratory medicine program. This program provides a wide range of diagnostic expertise, outstanding teaching opportunities, and engaging research initiatives.
Applicants must possess or be eligible for licensure in Ontario and hold a Fellowship in Anatomic Pathology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or an equivalent qualification. Subspecialty Fellowship training in Lung and Thoracic Pathology or extensive experience in this area is essential.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing diagnostic and consultation services in Lung and Thoracic Pathology.
- Engaging in Autopsy Pathology.
- Conducting independent and collaborative research.
- Participating in educational activities.
The successful candidate should be eligible for an academic appointment in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology, with a rank that reflects their academic credentials.
