Position Overview

The Culinary Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily activities within the food service department, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a supervisory role within food services
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve work schedules
  • Oversee and coordinate the tasks of staff involved in food preparation and portioning
  • Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, hygiene, and safety protocols
  • Assess and forecast ingredient and supply needs for meal preparation
  • Recruit and hire food service personnel
  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards for food and service
  • Prepare financial plans and cost estimates for the department
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and issues
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste
  • Compile and submit operational reports
  • Prepare food order summaries for the culinary team
  • Supervise the assembly of meal trays
  • Oversee the delivery of food service carts
  • Establish and manage work schedules for staff
