Adamson Systems Engineering is a prominent manufacturer specializing in a diverse array of production technologies, dedicated to the live performance audio equipment sector utilized in events worldwide.

The Financial Controller plays a pivotal role in guiding a team of financial analysts, contributing significantly to the strategic advancement of a globally esteemed brand. The primary objective of the team is to ensure that all accounting operations are executed in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and relevant Accounting Standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the accounting team, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll.
  • Oversee the financial reporting framework for internal and external stakeholders across multiple legal entities.
  • Develop and implement processes to guarantee the accuracy and completeness of financial data within the Company’s ERP system.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for process enhancements and collaborate with the ERP team to optimize systems.
  • Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring thorough closure of financial processes and checklists.
  • Manage customer account balances and statements, including receivables, credit adjustments, and deposits.
  • Handle all daily financial transactions, encompassing Inventory, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliations, Billing, Payroll, and comprehensive bookkeeping in line with Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE).
  • Prepare necessary documentation for audits and liaise with auditors as required.
  • Address various matters related to the Canada Revenue Agency as they arise.
  • Establish or recommend major economic strategies, objectives, and policies to align business functions with profitability, growth, and cash flow.
  • Ensure adherence to record retention policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Must possess a CPA designation in good standing.
  • Prior experience with ERP systems integration is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Odoo ERP is a plus.
  • Experience in public accounting is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
