Job SummaryWe are seeking a talented Food Innovation Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member, you will contribute to our mission of shaping the future of cracker perfection.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in experiment execution and documentation, making observations and providing feedback relative to experiments at all stages.
- Perform bench work in the test kitchen, assisting the Lead R&D Technologist in daily tasks of baking prototypes.
- Create samples in lab or in factory trials for new or replacing existing ingredients for productivity initiatives.
- Prepare sample requests and develop channel-specified items as per needs, ensuring samples are sent to respective customers as required.
- Conduct sensory evaluation, prepare products, and analyze data.
- Maintain the R&D test kitchen, including ingredient inventory and general sanitation and maintenance.
- Analyze consistency of products and examine moisture, breakage reports, identify potential improvements to recipes and process efficiency.
- Maintain a constructive work environment through open communication and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Submit samples for nutritional/analytical testing.
- Responsible for daily management and support for the team to achieve operational success.
- Monitor time and attendance and ensure compliance with Company Procedures.
- Approve vacation requests.
- Carry out incident, accident, and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure.
- Issue disciplinary action when needed.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
- Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
- Diploma of Food Science, Food Engineering, or equivalent.
- 2 years' experience in a food-related field.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team structure.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
- Technical knowledge related to the job.
- Orientation towards a continuous improvement culture.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Work indoors.
- Compliant with ventilation, cleanliness, space, lighting, and temperature.
