Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Content Strategist to join our team at Seneca Polytechnic. As a key member of our Communications department, you will be responsible for creating and enhancing content across our internal and external channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Development and Creation: Develop, write and publish new content for various channels, including website content, social media, and digital signage.
  • Editing and Quality Assurance: Edit and proofread materials produced by others across Seneca, ensuring consistency of copy with our brand voice, corporate positioning, and readability standards.
  • Research and Collaboration: Conduct research and interviews with subject matter experts to gather content and ideas, and collaborate closely with Communications team members and other internal partners.
Requirements
  • Education: A minimum completed three (3) year diploma or degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, and/or Journalism, preferably with a focus on education.
  • Skills: Experience in writing and editing web copy, knowledge of journalistic practices and styles, proficiency in writing and editing news articles, and strong research and organizational skills.
