About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Glen-Merritt Collision Ltd. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex automotive issues, ensuring that our customers' vehicles are returned to them in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Repair Automotive Issues
    • Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and repair complex automotive problems
    • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
    • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Communicate with Customers and Colleagues
    • Discuss work with supervisors and colleagues to ensure that repairs are completed efficiently and effectively
    • Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Maintain a Safe and Efficient Work Environment
    • Ensure that all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner
    • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Other trades certificate or diploma
    • 5 years or more of experience in the automotive service industry
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
  • Language and Communication
    • Fluent in English
