Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machine Builder to join our team at Randstad Canada. As a Machine Builder, you will be responsible for building industrial mixers and pumps from blueprints, performing complex mechanical and electrical assemblies, and completing fit-up, welding, grinding, deburring, and polishing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build industrial mixers and pumps from blueprints
  • Perform complex mechanical and electrical assemblies
  • Assemble large rotating equipment and parts onto their mounts
  • Complete fit-up, welding, grinding, deburring, and polishing operations
  • Use hand and power tools, overhead cranes, and blow torches
  • Perform quality checks and testing as building machinery
  • Utilize computer programs to document process and inventory
  • Maintain operating equipment on a weekly basis
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years experience with assembly and building of equipment
  • Familiarity with Duplex, Ni-hard, Alloy 20 a plus
  • Mechanically savvy, with exposure to working on impellers, motors, gearboxes, pumps, rotating equipment, shaft alignment, etc.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
  • Able to weld, inspect, and make part modifications when needed
  • Computer savvy, able to learn new programs
  • Effective communicator to coordinate between departments

  • Competitive wages up to $30 hourly, depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday, with overtime available
  • Straight afternoon shift
  • Monday to Friday, 2:30 pm to 11 pm with a $2 shift premium
