Occupational Therapist II, Inpatient Adolescent Unit

BC Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist II to join our team in the Inpatient Adolescent Unit. As an Occupational Therapist II, you will play a vital role in providing occupational therapy services to patients and their families, promoting independence and enhancing quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide occupational therapy interventions to patients and their families, focusing on self-care, productivity, and leisure activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and coordinate services with other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and implement educational programs for patients, families, and healthcare staff to promote occupational therapy best practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to occupational therapy services.
- Baccalaureate in Occupational Therapy and licensure with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia.
- Two years of recent related experience, including one year in pediatrics or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
- 50 hours of post-graduate coursework or training related to additional procedures, techniques, and job functions for the assigned area.
