Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Application Reviewer to join our team at Equitable Bank. As a key member of our mortgage underwriting team, you will be responsible for reviewing mortgage applications, negotiating terms with financial institutions, approving applications, and ensuring timely closure of deals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review mortgage applications to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Negotiate terms with financial institutions to secure favorable loan terms
  • Approve or deny mortgage applications based on creditworthiness and risk assessment
  • Provide exceptional customer service to borrowers and financial institutions
  • Maintain relationships with financial institutions and other stakeholders

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in mortgage underwriting or a related field
  • Post-secondary degree in a financial field, such as finance, accounting, or economics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of AML & ATF practices
