Position Overview

This distinctive role emphasizes a newcomer-centric, digitally-savvy advisory skill set combined with innate problem-solving abilities to enhance each client interaction. In this capacity, you will assist clients, particularly those new to Canada, with their daily banking, credit, and investment requirements by utilizing innovative digital tools in our service locations. As a representative of RBC, you will provide value during crucial moments for newcomers and work alongside RBC colleagues and partners to help them reach their aspirations. Whether it involves showcasing digital banking features, guiding new clients through the onboarding process, referring complex matters to a colleague or specialist, or offering advice on job searching and settling in Canada, your expertise will play a vital role in creating impactful and memorable experiences that foster client satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize newcomer education and demonstration, utilizing advanced digital solutions to create a remarkable client experience, enhance brand value, and sustain relationships.
  • Engage in active listening and meaningful conversations with clients to better understand their unique needs.
  • Take initiative in resolving and preventing client banking issues.
  • Build and nurture relationships with clients, organizations, and partners to maximize advisory opportunities and referrals.
  • Actively interact with clients throughout the branch and community, identifying banking needs, providing assistance and advice, and recognizing sales and referral opportunities.
  • Address client-initiated inquiries, aiding them with a variety of self-service and assisted financial transactions.

Essential Requirements

  • A friendly, approachable demeanor with a proven commitment to client satisfaction, alongside demonstrated success in a dynamic retail environment.
  • Strong digital proficiency across various devices (e.g., smartphones, tablets, laptops) and a quick learner of new technologies.
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence and situational awareness, along with problem-solving and interpersonal skills to establish robust relationships and proactively engage with clients.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, adaptable and eager to learn, with strong personal ethics and a drive for success.
  • Mutual Funds accreditation (e.g., Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course)

  • Alumni of a University or College.
