About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Veterinary Assistant to join our team at ITR Laboratories Canada Inc. as a Clinical Veterinary Assistant. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, collaborating with our veterinarian and veterinary services group to provide exceptional care to animals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the veterinarian to provide medical services to sick or injured animals, ensuring their health and well-being.
  • Assist the veterinarian in managing quarantine procedures, health assessments, and laboratory tests to determine animal health status.
  • Perform laboratory tests under the supervision of the veterinarian to ensure accurate results.
  • Ensure that recommended treatments are performed as indicated, including diet and minor applications of local substances.
  • Participate in other related tasks as required.
Requirements
  • College diploma in Animal Health or related field.
  • Experience in a Pre-Clinical Research Center with laboratory animals or in animal care and surgery is an asset.
  • Autonomous and organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • English is a must, with functional knowledge and ability to speak French.
  • 6 months of experience in a similar role.
