Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Counselling Therapist to join our team. As a Counselling Therapist, you will work with clients to provide therapy and mediation services, and facilitate group sessions. You will also liaise with community agencies and partners to identify additional or alternative services and provide referrals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Assessment and Counselling
    • Interview clients to assess their needs and develop case histories
    • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients
    • Facilitate group sessions to promote client engagement and support
  • Liaison and Referral
    • Liaise with community agencies and partners to identify additional or alternative services
    • Provide referrals to clients for additional support services
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and progress
    • Document client case histories and treatment plans
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. counselling, psychology)
    • Provincial or territorial Psychologist's Certificate of Registration
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
