Our mission is to establish conditions and tools that empower decentralized game production, allowing global talent to contribute to their dream game projects. We collaborate with over 1400 programmers, artists, and designers, ranging from freelancers to small studios, located worldwide. Position Overview:
We are in search of a skilled and experienced 3D Animation Director. In this capacity, you will lead and manage the creation of a variety of dynamic animations for an array of gaming projects. The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of different animation styles, a robust creative vision, and the capability to guide a team of animators to deliver exceptional work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creative Direction: Direct the 3D animation team in producing high-quality animations for characters, creatures, environments, and more, ensuring alignment with the project's artistic vision and style.
- Varied Animation Techniques: Bring expertise in multiple animation styles, from realistic to stylized, to cater to the diverse needs of various projects and clients. Guide the team in adapting to these styles as necessary.
- Production Oversight: Manage the animation process from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Collaborate closely with other departments, including art, design, and programming, to ensure seamless integration of animations.
- Team Development: Provide mentorship and professional growth opportunities for the animation team. Cultivate a creative and productive work environment.
- Client Engagement: Collaborate directly with clients to grasp their vision and requirements, ensuring that the final animations surpass their expectations. Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and gather feedback.
- Technical Proficiency: Stay informed about the latest animation tools, techniques, and industry trends. Implement and refine workflows that enhance efficiency and quality in the animation process.
- Quality Control: Review and critique animations to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality. Offer constructive feedback to the team to help them achieve excellence.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in 3D animation, with at least 2 years in a leadership or director role within the gaming industry.
- Expertise: Proficiency in various animation styles, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work in both realistic and stylized animations.
- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of industry-standard animation software (e.g., Maya, Blender, 3ds Max) and game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine).
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team of animators, with excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external clients.
- Creativity: A passion for storytelling through animation, with a keen eye for detail and a drive for continuous improvement.
