Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Captain to join our team at Fire Rescue International. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our firefighting efforts and ensuring the safety of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and direction to our firefighting team, ensuring that our operations are efficient and effective.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations, including fires, rescues, and other critical incidents, and lead our team in providing timely and effective responses.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to ensure that our team members have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their duties safely and effectively.
  • Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with our community, including local government officials, business leaders, and other stakeholders, to promote our services and build trust.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess NFPA 1001-L2, NFPA 1072-O, NFPA 1041-L2, NFPA 1021-L2, and Alberta Registered EMR certifications.
  • Driver's License: Hold an unrestricted Class 3Q Driver's License.
  • Other Requirements: Be legally entitled to work in Canada and be willing to commence work within 30 days of acceptance.
Benefits
  • Competitive Salary: $66,000.00 per year.
  • Days Off: Four days off in lieu of OT.
  • Paid Holidays: Four weeks paid holidays.
  • Family Health Benefits: Comprehensive family health benefits.
  • Deployment Bonus: $180.00 per day deployment bonus.
Conditional Hiring

We may consider conditional hiring at a reduced rate ($54,000.00 per year) for candidates who possess most of the required certifications but have other proven skills and experience, and agree to complete the required certifications within six months of hire.
