We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Intermediate Associate to join our Civil/Structural Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our clients in the field of structural engineering.

Job Summary:

The Intermediate Associate will work closely with our senior engineers and other subject matter experts to consult with clients, perform examinations, testing, and analysis, and prepare technical reports. You will be responsible for:

  • Performing site examinations, documenting review, and effectively communicating investigation and analysis findings to colleagues and clients.
  • Preparing structural calculations/analyses, structural simulations, and technical drawings from field measurements, sketches, and other data.
  • Carrying out research on the latest scientific findings in structural engineering.
  • Reviewing, interpreting, and following national/international codes and standards in structural engineering.
  • Preparing technical reports and drawings based upon sound investigations and analysis.
  • Contributing to writing technical/scientific papers, codes/standards, and thought leadership.
  • Independently managing client service deadlines, budgeting, invoicing, and accounts receivable on their projects according to organizational best practices.
  • Liaising with clients on a regular basis and providing updates throughout the investigation.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Structural Engineering.
  • Years of experience in Structural Engineering.
  • Registration or eligibility to become a Professional Engineer (with EGBC).
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • A valid Canadian driver's license.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout Canada.
