About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Brick and Stone Mason to join our team at S.E.S. ENTERPRISES INC. As a key member of our construction and renovation team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality masonry work on various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles, or other masonry units to ensure a strong and durable foundation for our construction and renovation projects.
  • Lay bricks, stone, or similar materials to provide a visually appealing veneer facing for our clients' properties.
  • Construct and install prefabricated masonry units to meet the specific needs of our projects.
  • Build patios, garden walls, and other decorative installations to enhance the aesthetic appeal of our clients' properties.
  • Read sketches and blueprints to accurately calculate the materials required for each project.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages to ensure that our masonry work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
  • Lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces.
  • Restore, clean, or paint existing masonry structures to maintain their integrity and appearance.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the masonry trade or equivalent experience.
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course certification.
  • Physically demanding work environment.
  • Handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling required for some tasks.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and hard hat required for on-site work.
  • Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, and team player qualities essential for success in this role.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a 35-hour workweek and a focus on delivering high-quality masonry work in a fast-paced construction and renovation environment.

Language

The primary language of communication for this role is English.
