Risk Management and Audit Director

Job Summary:
The Senior Director, Audit and Advisory Services is a key member of the Company 1 - The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company team, responsible for leading the audit and advisory services function. This role requires a strong understanding of risk management and audit principles, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a risk-based audit plan to ensure adequate audit coverage and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the audit team, ensuring that audit activities are conducted in accordance with Company 1 - The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with management to identify and mitigate risks, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives and business unit leaders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements, and ensure that audit activities are aligned with these requirements.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of risk management and audit principles.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data and identify areas for improvement.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of Company 1 - The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Actuarial or accounting designation.
- Relevant post-qualification experience in audit and risk management.
