Position Overview

As a **Personal Care Assistant** at **MY CARE COMPANION LTD.**, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This is a **permanent position** that offers a flexible work schedule ranging from **30 to 40 hours per week**.

Qualifications
  • **Education**: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • **Experience**: Candidates should have between **1 to 7 months** of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications.
Work Environment

Your responsibilities will take place in various settings, including:

  • Home care and visiting care agencies
  • Remote and rural locations
  • Urban areas
  • Client's homes
  • Healthcare facilities such as hospitals and nursing homes
  • Public health centers
Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Accompany clients during outdoor recreational activities.
  • Assist with personal care and comfort-related tasks.
  • Manage hygiene needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support clients with mobility, including lifting and positioning.
  • Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Provide meal assistance and ensure proper nutrition.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in clients' living spaces.
  • Supervise and assist with exercise routines.
  • Transport clients safely using wheelchairs or stretchers.
  • Collect medical specimens as required.
  • Administer first aid in emergencies.
Certifications

Successful candidates must possess:

  • **First Aid Certificate**
  • **CPR Certificate**
Safety and Security

A **criminal record check** will be required to ensure the safety of our clients.

Physical Requirements

This position demands:

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage repetitive tasks.
  • Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Capability to handle weights up to **45 kg (100 lbs)**.
