Intermediate Civil Engineer

Wood is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Mining & Minerals business in Saskatoon, SK. This role reports to the Civil/Structural/Architectural Manager and is responsible for providing design activities for civil earthworks, underground utilities, and heavy industrial facilities.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Civil Engineer to work on a variety of projects in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in earthwork and underground utilities experience, with a focus on heavy industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop civil earthworks and underground utilities for mine sites and heavy industrial facilities
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Mentor junior engineers and design personnel to develop their skills and expertise
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
Requirements
  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Civil Engineering
  • 5-10 years of experience in earthwork and underground utilities, with a focus on heavy industrial projects
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Saskatchewan
  • Experience with Civil 3D software is an asset
