Key Responsibilities:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of various government grant programs and their eligibility requirements.
- Take charge of preparing detailed technical descriptions of SR&ED activities for tax credit submissions, and assess qualifying expenditures for SR&ED tax credits.
- Craft technical narratives for SR&ED tax credit applications and manage the execution of these programs.
- Compile proposals by gathering essential information such as project objectives, deliverables, methodologies, timelines, staffing needs, budgets, performance standards, and evaluation criteria.
- Research and analyze data from multiple sources, including online platforms, market reports, and client-supplied information.
- Examine program specifics to assist clients with targeted project inquiries.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, English, or a related discipline.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of SR&ED programs and recent developments in SR&ED tax legislation.
- 1-2 years of experience in preparing SR&ED tax credit claims, auditing for the CRA, or technical writing.
- Experience in grant proposal writing is advantageous. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for articulating instructions, issues, project updates, and technical details effectively.
- Prior experience with Canadian grant funding is beneficial.
- Ability to create, edit, and organize technical documentation proficiently.
- Experience in liaising with government funding agencies or relevant experience is preferred.
