We are seeking a highly skilled Data Management Lead to join our team at the Canadian Medical Protective Association. As a key member of our Research, Analytics, and Privacy group, you will play a critical role in the management of our corporate data assets.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead data quality improvement initiatives, collaborating with data stewards and teams across the organization to identify and address data quality issues.
- Develop and implement metadata management strategies, ensuring the capture and use of metadata to support data governance and decision-making.
- Manage a small team of data management analysts, providing coaching and guidance to ensure the successful delivery of data management projects.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop data management solutions that meet their needs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data management, applying this knowledge to improve our data management capabilities.
- 4-year bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in data governance and management.
- Proven track record of leading data quality improvement initiatives and developing metadata management strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience managing a small team of data management analysts, with a focus on coaching and development.
- Strong understanding of business processes and data management principles, with the ability to apply this knowledge to improve data management capabilities.
- A competitive salary range of $112,600 to $150,700 annually, classified as a level 10 position.
