About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Road Mechanic to join our team at CB Canada. As a Road Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our fleet of equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime
  • Work with a variety of equipment makes and models, including aerial work platforms, construction tools, and specialty equipment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless operations and high-quality service

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or equivalent training preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic, preferably with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines equipment
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, as well as troubleshooting fundamentals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more
