What is the role of a Lead Cybersecurity Solutions Architect at Accoravillage?

In the capacity of a Lead Cybersecurity Solutions Architect, you will be an integral part of the CISO division, reporting directly to the Cybersecurity Engineering Manager. Your expertise will be pivotal in enhancing the cybersecurity framework of the organization and in designing security solutions that mitigate risks to our systems, data, and clientele within the highly regulated financial services sector. You will align engineering efforts with business objectives, enterprise risk tolerance, information security policies, and cybersecurity strategies.

  • Develop and formally document the security architecture for our various business operations, products, and solutions, adhering to QFG-defined methodologies.
  • Spearhead the design and deployment of innovative solutions that bolster our security measures and support our current and future financial service offerings.
  • Identify vulnerabilities, architect solutions, and create business cases with comprehensive justifications and cost-benefit analyses for cybersecurity projects and annual budget considerations.
  • Effectively communicate security risks, challenges, and opportunities to leadership and internal stakeholders within engineering teams.
  • Leverage your strong interpersonal and consulting abilities to collaborate with technology peers across the CISO and CIO organizations, including enterprise architecture, cloud engineering, and infrastructure, to enhance our application security posture.
  • Engage in threat risk assessments and IT change management processes to evaluate application security risks arising from changes that may conflict with Information Security policies, cybersecurity standards, or best practices, providing mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in the due diligence process to evaluate the application security stance of potential M&A targets, quantify risks, recommend remediations, and generate detailed reports.
  • Produce comprehensive high-quality documentation, architecture diagrams, and presentations while supporting the development of cybersecurity documentation, policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Utilize your knowledge of application security frameworks, guidelines, and best practices such as NIST CSF & SSDF, OWASP SAMM, BSIMM, and similar standards to identify gaps and drive improvements in the S-SDLC.

  • Have over 10 years of combined experience in cybersecurity, particularly in application security and security architecture.
  • Possess prior experience as an enterprise/solutions architect, DevOps engineer, or in a software engineering role.
  • Have extensive knowledge of the S-SDLC and its underlying processes, with demonstrable experience in all stages.
  • Are well-versed in application security concepts and practices, including threat modeling, secure application architecture design, and secure build and deployment processes.
  • Have a deep understanding of cloud computing concepts and solutions, including public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Bring proven experience in architecting cloud solutions, with additional expertise in Google Cloud being a plus.
  • Have strong experience with microservices architectures, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containers, and Kubernetes environments.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of defense-in-depth and zero-trust principles in a cloud-native context, such as applying authorization policies at various layers.
  • Have experience conducting security reviews and Threat Risk Assessments.
  • Hold relevant security, application security, and security architecture certifications.
  • Have a degree or diploma in Business Administration, Information Technology, or Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Exhibit excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with a background in advisory or consulting roles.
  • Are self-motivated with robust project management and coordination capabilities.
