About the Team & Role

Robinhood's experimentation platform, Kaizen, and SerVars, our Dynamic Configuration platform, are at the heart of our product development process. We are seeking a talented Senior Software Developer to help us scale these platforms to new heights.

As part of this team, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining core features of Robinhood's most heavily trafficked services. You will collaborate closely with multi-functional teams to understand their needs and develop solutions that drive company-wide goals, such as revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain large-scale systems within a team, ensuring robust architecture and long-term maintainability.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to translate sophisticated models into production-ready code, enabling data-driven product development.
  • Champion engineering excellence by promoting best practices, improving operational efficiency, and driving initiatives across the organization.
  • Mentor junior developers and data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience as a software developer with a strong track record in planning and executing large-scale projects.
  • Experience working closely with data scientists to bridge the gap between theoretical models and practical implementations.
  • Solid understanding of experimentation principles, including A/B testing, hypothesis testing, and statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Bazel, Kubernetes, AWS, Kafka, Postgres, Airflow, and Presto.
  • A passion for mentoring and guiding junior developers to enhance their skills and contribute effectively to the team.
