The Security Division:
The Global Security Division is dedicated to safeguarding the individuals, assets, and reputation of Mattel. We achieve this by recruiting, training, and nurturing top-tier security and investigative professionals, enforcing effective protocols, collaborating across departments, and utilizing both established and cutting-edge technologies.
Your Role:
We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Security Officer with a background in security to ensure the safety of Mattel's personnel, visitors, products, and brand integrity. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be a team player, and demonstrate the ability to manage and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Physical Security Management
- Implement and uphold the best practices of the Mattel Global Security Division, ensuring the protection of physical properties, assets, and personnel from theft, damage, and unlawful activities.
- Carry out security tasks as outlined in the Contingency Operations and Standard Operating Procedures under the guidance of the Security Leader and Supervisors.
- Perform administrative duties as assigned, including data entry and monitoring access points.
- Manage visitor registration and traffic control, assisting suppliers and contractors as needed.
- Conduct mobile and foot patrols to oversee campus security and address facility-related concerns, while monitoring access control and surveillance systems.
- Support initiatives related to intellectual property protection.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all employees, vendors, and visitors on site.
Safety Oversight
- Monitor fire control systems for alarms and equipment issues, reporting maintenance needs promptly.
- Act as a point of contact for emergency situations, completing necessary incident reports and responding to fire and first aid emergencies.
- Conduct monthly safety inspections, including checks on fire extinguishers and AEDs.
Additional tasks may be assigned based on operational requirements. Flexibility for overtime may be necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
- Preferred experience of one or more years in security, asset protection, loss prevention, law enforcement, or military service.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and security guard license is essential.
- Certification in First Aid, CPR, and Blood-borne Pathogens is required, or willingness to obtain through training provided by Mattel.
- Availability to work various shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Ability to interpret general business policies and technical procedures.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Familiarity with security equipment and technology.
- A commitment to continuous learning and personal growth.
