Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Concrete Finishing Specialist to join our team at 2705517 ONTARIO INC. This role involves a variety of tasks related to the finishing of concrete surfaces, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Fill hollows and eliminate imperfections on freshly poured concrete.
  • Quotations: Prepare tenders and cost estimates for projects.
  • Concrete Compaction: Operate power vibrators to ensure proper compaction of concrete.
  • Surface Leveling: Level the top surface of concrete according to specified grades and depths.
  • Height Work: Perform tasks at heights using scaffolding or swing stages.
  • Finishing Techniques: Apply desired finishes to concrete surfaces using both hand and power tools.
  • Training: Instruct and guide apprentices in concrete finishing techniques.
  • Installation: Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures as required.
  • Curing: Apply hardening and sealing agents to cure concrete surfaces effectively.
  • Surface Restoration: Waterproof, damp proof, and restore various concrete surfaces.
  • Repairs: Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
  • Cost Estimation: Accurately estimate costs and materials needed for projects.
  • Technical Skills: Utilize CADD and other software systems for project planning.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in concrete finishing.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
