This position presents an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to contribute to our growing Central and Local Government division in our prominent London office.
We seek a proactive and self-driven individual who excels in problem-solving and possesses a logical, structured approach to managing complex projects with numerous stakeholders. Familiarity with the technical requirements from design and contractor teams to navigate challenges during both pre-contract and post-contract phases is advantageous, along with experience in contract management.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough research, data analysis, and benchmarking.
- Leading residential or mixed-use projects during the enabling phase, which may involve highways, utilities, remediation, public realm, and managing obligations.
- Establishing effective processes and systems for project utilization.
- Monitoring project progress and documenting performance metrics.
- Tracking changes and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
- Preparing formal reports on project progress and other relevant updates.
- Collaborating with clients, contractors, and design teams.
- Participating in meetings and preparing minutes.
Additional Duties:
Your role will also encompass:
- Creating presentation materials for client engagements.
- Inputting critical information into the internal Turner & Townsend database.
Essential Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- The ability to travel within the London/Home Counties/South East region.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A self-motivated attitude.
- Strategic problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience collaborating with various stakeholders, including clients and contractors.
- Knowledge of CDM/site health and safety regulations.
- An engineering qualification or background, preferably in civil, structural, or mechanical/electrical disciplines.
- A comprehensive understanding of the development lifecycle.
- Direct experience in on-site construction.
- Experience with residential or mixed-use projects, particularly during the enabling phase.
