Job Overview

As a Senior Construction Inspector at Entelechy Consulting Services Inc., you will play a crucial role in overseeing the construction of various highway projects. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all work complies with contract specifications, quality benchmarks, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of construction activities to verify adherence to contract documents and safety standards.
  • Interpret contract drawings and specifications to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Identify and address any contractual, quality, or regulatory violations promptly.
  • Monitor and document contractor compliance with all contractual obligations.
  • Accurately measure and record all work completed by contractors to facilitate correct payment processing.
  • Prepare detailed daily site visit reports and maintain a comprehensive photographic log.
  • Assist the Contract Administrator in reviewing contractor submissions, including schedules and payment certificates, for compliance.
  • Verify that all contractor personnel, resources, and equipment meet the necessary qualifications and certifications.
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders as needed to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with MTO or municipal projects related to grading, paving, roads, and bridge construction.
  • Registered as EIT or P. Eng. with the PEO or OACETT designation as RCSI, if applicable.
  • Demonstrated experience as an Asphalt / Grade / Structural Inspector on multiple MTO or municipal projects or equivalent.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits.
  • The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable.
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as required.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
