Your Opportunity:
Description:
As a skilled Addiction Counsellor III with Alberta Health Services, you will provide high-quality, client-focused recovery-based services to individuals and their families. Your expertise will include assessment, treatment, case management, crisis intervention, education, and referral services. You will develop and implement treatment plans, adapting interventions to meet the unique needs of each client. Your excellent relationship-building skills will be essential in working with clients, families, government staff, and colleagues.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Addictions or a related field with coursework in addictions is required. Registration under the Health Professions Act (Alberta) is mandatory, and individuals may require authorization to perform restricted psychosocial interventions. Certification in Suicide Prevention, First Aid/CPR, and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention is also necessary. A valid Class 5 driver's license is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in addiction and/or mental health settings is highly valued. A Master's degree in a relevant field is also preferred.
