About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Butcher - Wholesale Specialist to join our team at NMK Foods Inc. in a wholesale meat processing environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of meat products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cutting and Processing: Clean and prepare meats for processing or cutting, cut carcasses, sides, and quarters, and prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers.
  • Meat Preparation: Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat, wrap and package prepared meats, and remove bones from meat.
  • Supervision and Training: Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers, grind meats, and train meat cutters.
  • Customer Service: Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products, and shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: No degree, certificate, or diploma required, but 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Environment: Cold/refrigerated environment, standing for extended periods, and handling heavy loads.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, combination of sitting, standing, walking, and attention to detail.
