At Northern Health Authority, we are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental Health and Safety team, you will play a critical role in protecting the health and well-being of our community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a diverse program of environmental health protection, reducing the incidence of communicable disease, injury, and health hazards, and ensuring compliance with environmental health legislation, policy, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct technical assessments and provide consultative and education services to the community.
  2. Develop and implement programs to reduce the incidence of communicable disease, injury, and health hazards.
  3. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental health legislation, policy, and standards.
  4. Provide leadership and guidance to staff and other stakeholders on environmental health issues.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in a health-related discipline.
  2. Certificate in Public Health Inspection (Canada).
  3. Current valid BC Driver's License.
