Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Consultant to join our team at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. As a Senior Quality Assurance Consultant, you will be responsible for leading the investigation and translation of business requirements into test cases, designing and managing end-to-end testing activities for various projects across the business, and providing clients with quality products that meet business and system requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the investigation and translation of business requirements into test cases
  • Design and manage end-to-end testing activities for various projects across the business
  • Use expertise in software development testing to provide clients with quality products that meet business and system requirements
  • Provide advice to your team, including ongoing feedback, support, and mentorship
  • Proactively identify any potential issues throughout all test phases, and suggest possible improvements or enhancements
  • Project coordination: Identify obstacles or risks that may impact a project's timeline or success and provide regular status updates to the business
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge in: Oracle PL/SQL, Azure, Basics of UNIX shell scripting & Python, Scala, Java, Azure DevOps, and Cloud related Technologies such as Azure Cloud Services, Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Blob, etc.
  • 6+ years of experience in: Application/Software design, engineering, testing, and development with a solid understanding of design patterns and principles
  • 2 or more years of testing cloud experience preferably on Azure, AWS, GCP, or others
  • Previous experience with Apache Spark development, Scala programming language, functional programming concepts, and data streaming
  • Experience with git and modern branching/merging strategies and development methodologies, including DevOps, CI/CD, automated unit testing, static code analysis, Sonar Cube, with passion for quality and automation
