Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Yard Attendant to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a Yard Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transfer of materials, operating and maintaining equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service with a positive and professional approach
  • Assist in loading and unloading freight as needed
  • Be aware of surroundings and ensure the safe transfer of materials
  • Operate and maintain equipment in a safe and responsible manner
  • Maintain a neat and clean work environment
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Organizational skills and great time management
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment
  • Class 3 license would be an asset
  • Previous retail experience
  • Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions
  • Working knowledge of hardware, home centre, farm/agricultural products and building supplies
  • Ability to handle multiple demands at once
  • Commitment to cooperative values and principles
  • Ability to lift up to 50Ibs unassisted
