About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Developer to join our team at Z953. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our multimedia systems, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and harmonious.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Ecosystems: Design and develop ecosystems that provide music content to partners across the globe, ensuring seamless integration and high-quality user experiences.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, architects, and other engineers to analyze and design solutions for existing problems, driving innovation and improvement.
  • Participate in Code Reviews and Quality Assurance: Engage in code reviews, write unit tests, and ensure the quality and maintainability of the codebase, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Create Comprehensive Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation for system architecture, processes, and procedures, facilitating knowledge sharing and onboarding.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science: Possess a strong foundation in software engineering or computer science, with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in OOP Languages: Have good knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language, such as Java, C#, or C++.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components.
  • Initiative, Collaboration, and Adaptability: Showcase initiative, collaboration, and adaptability, with a willingness to learn new technologies and approaches.
  • Language Proficiency: Possess the ability to communicate effectively in English and French.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Cloud Platforms and Databases: Have proficiency with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and strong understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL, DynamoDB, and MongoDB.
  • Caching Technologies and Java Frameworks: Familiarity with caching technologies like Memcache and Redis, as well as hands-on experience with Java frameworks, especially Spring Boot.
  • CI/CD Practices and Containerization: Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices, as well as experience with containerization tools, specifically Docker.
  • Configuration Management and Microservices: Competence in using configuration management tools like Ansible, and understanding of microservices architecture and development.
  • Linux Environments: Familiarity with Linux environments, with the ability to work effectively in this context.
