We are seeking a skilled UI Engineer to contribute to the development of our flagship SimplePin application and corporate website. In this role, you will focus on enhancing and refining the User Interface. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging in the analysis, development, and estimation of client requirements and specifications
  • Creating, developing, and implementing new high-quality features and functionalities
  • Sustaining and optimizing existing code, including monitoring for front-end issues
  • Crafting high-fidelity mockups and designing various prototypes
  • Collaborating with application support to investigate and resolve production challenges
  • Innovating and enhancing development methodologies and tools
  • Delivering technical solutions pertaining to User Interface and User Experience
Required Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Front-end Development and IT
  • Familiarity with Test-Driven Development and Continuous Integration practices
  • Strong grasp of user-centered design and UX principles
  • Experience in Agile methodologies, such as Scrum
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Technical Proficiencies:
  • Proficient in graphic design software, including Adobe Suite
  • Understanding of Core Java development methodologies
  • Competence in Unix Operating Systems and Linux/Bash scripting
  • Familiarity with the Apache Wicket framework
  • Experience with Atlassian tools like JIRA and Confluence
  • Knowledge of Drupal CMS is advantageous
