About the Role

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Field Recruiter to join our team in Ottawa. As a key member of our recruitment team, you will be responsible for cultivating relationships with our operations and business partners to identify top-tier talent within the local market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full Cycle Recruiting: Manage high-volume recruiting processes by partnering with field operations leadership to determine staffing needs within an assigned territory.
  • Candidate Assessment: Review applicant resumes, conduct preliminary phone interviews, and coordinate interviews and assessments between candidates and hiring teams.
  • Candidate Sourcing: Create and develop sourcing strategies, headhunt, and use outside-the-box ideas to attract quality talent. Leverage community networking events and manage college and university partnership programs.
  • Compliance and System Management: Ensure compliance with employment laws, manage candidate activity in the Workday Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and maintain application/resume file retention according to company policy.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Fluency in French
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems
