Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Apprentice Tile Setter to join our team at JY Shinwoo Construction Ltd. As a key member of our tile installation team, you will be responsible for installing high-quality tile surfaces in various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and Apply Adhesives: Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel to ensure a strong bond between tiles and surfaces.
  • Tile Installation: Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base, ensuring a level and even surface.
  • Cutting and Fitting Tiles: Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, minimizing waste and ensuring a seamless finish.
  • Tile Repair and Replacement: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, maintaining the integrity and appearance of the tile surface.
  • Mosaic Artistry: Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs, requiring attention to detail and artistic flair.
  • Stone and Terra Surface Installation: Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite, as well as mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces, showcasing your expertise in working with various materials.
