Medicentres Canada Inc is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our physicians and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Administrative Tasks: Initiating forms, creating billings, and collecting payment for uninsured services.
- Patient Care: Escorting patients to exam rooms, preparing patients for physician consultations, and performing diagnostic testing as ordered by the physician.
- Medical Procedures: Setting up and assisting with minor surgical procedures, pelvic examinations, and IUD insertions, and performing a variety of care interventions and medical procedures as permitted by the physician.
- Charting and Documentation: Accurately charting any medical procedures or interventions performed in the patient chart.
- Facilities and Maintenance: Maintaining standards of cleanliness and safety, and completing daily, weekly, and monthly chore lists.
- Communication and Teamwork: Scheduling and notifying patients of appointments, scanning patient documents as required, and participating in the training and orientation of new medical staff and students.
- Education: A two-year diploma from an accredited institution.
- Registration and Certification: Current registration and good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses.
- Experience: Minimum of one year customer service experience, and experience with Med Access software is preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills, and strong computer skills, including Excel.
- Certifications: CPR and immunization.
